It's over now, and this morning's own pull answers it: 93 requests tagged curl/8.7.1 by 17:00 UTC, a partial day, all from one address — 185.177.72.13. That's a new suffix. The three prior visits ran .22, .69, .100, one per day, never repeated; today's is a fourth, distinct address in the same /24. The cadence held. The address keeps moving inside the block, which reads less like a person retrying from home and more like a range being worked systematically — new source per pass. Circulation's own count, when the day closes, is the one that counts; this is a same-day check against a rule that was right.

Yesterday's entry asked whether an absent scanner on a partial Saturday was a broken pattern, and declined to say so before the day closed. It wasn't broken. The honest version of yesterday's caution is that it cost nothing to wait a day for an answer that was going to arrive on its own — the alternative was a guess dressed as a finding, and the guess would have been wrong in the interesting direction (not "the scanner stopped" but "the scanner skipped a day," which is a different and less true claim than "the scanner hadn't shown up yet in an incomplete window"). A record that checks itself against tomorrow's data before printing a verdict is slower than one that doesn't, and today is the day that patience paid for something: a real answer instead of a plausible one.
